Hugo is a Postdoctoral Research Associate developing agentic AI and LLM workflows to automate process safety and digitization. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where he researched Machine Learning for biological data, focusing on experimental design and addressing noise in random forest modelling.

Currently collaborating with BASF and Siemens, Hugo specializes in practical engineering automation. His work bridges the gap between advanced data strategies and industrial application, deploying autonomous agents and digital protocols to optimize decision-making and safety in complex engineering systems.
